1. Try turning on "Location Services" on your phone, then restarting the app. The locations permissions for Ergonomyx must be turned on for the low-energy version of Bluetooth that the Under-Desk Bike utilizes. This is mainly a requirement for Android phones.
2. The Bluetooth is only turned on while the bike is being pedaled, or is being powered from the bike's battery, which turns on after the bike has stopped pedaling for approximately 1 minute, then the Bluetooth will disconnect. So the Bluetooth must be attempted to connect. The device should appear either in the "Nearby Devices" section if it has never been paired with the phone, or in the "My Devices" section if it has been paired to the phone before
3. A common cause of Bluetooth connectivity issues is having another device connected to it, as the device can only be paired with one phone at a time. As the bike starts up, it will automatically connect to the latest phone it was paired with. If another device has connected to the bike at any time, ensure the phone is either out of range, is unpaired with the bike, and/or has its Bluetooth turned off before trying again to connect to the bike with your device.
4. One other cause of Bluetooth connectivity issues is when the bike is pedaled very slowly to start. The bike may be able to connect if it is pedaled slightly more quickly at startup. If the device is not connecting, the first troubleshooting step should be to stop pedaling, then try pedaling again to attempt a re-initialization of Bluetooth.
We have done extensive testing to ensure the longevity of each and every component that goes into our products, but in the rare case something does break we will have replacement parts available on our website.
